  • Tenders are invited for Community-Based Inclusive Development (Cbid), and Disability Inclusive Development (Did) Training For Cbm Ethiopia Staff, Partners, and Selected Mainstream Development Stakeholders In Ethiopia The overall aim of Bridge the Gap is: An inclusive environment is established in targeted districts of East Gojjam Zone and South Gondar Zone in which girls, boys, women, and men with disabilities enjoy their rights, live as equal citizens, are resilient, and counted as a development force of Ethiopia Bridge the Gap thereby seeks to empower and rehabilitate persons with disabilities to lead independent and meaningful lives at family and community levels. Enabling them and providing them with care and assistance to lead a meaningful life, demands the provision of access to facilities and services in the areas of health, education, rehabilitation, economic and social empowerment. The efforts of the government in providing facilities and services channeled through the National Policy in concurrence with the Ministry of Health, Education, Social Services, and Vocational Guidance are deemed to be not equal, uniform, or adequate. Underprivileged communities located in remote areas with little access are denied even the basic facilities. The project has targeted three woredas (district) in East Gojjam Zone, namely Debre Markos, Dejene, and Bichena, and likewise, three districts in South Gondar Zone, namely Debre Tabor, Woreta, and Dera. BFI is responsible for implementation in East Gojjam, whereas CFAI is responsible for implementation in South Gondar. Through the CBID approach, Bridge the Gap will enhance and facilitate access to basic services for persons with disabilities and their families in these rural and urban communities and will be instrumental in referring them to appropriate institutions and care providers in line with the existing structure and system. Through this project, BFI and CFAI set out to facilitate CBID through promoting inclusion of people with disabilities, empowering organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), changing the misconception of about disability, building the capacity of existing services delivery organization to be inclusive, promoting inclusive education and empowering the target beneficiaries socially and economically Persons with disabilities will, through the strengthening of Organizations of People with Disabilities (OPDs) and self-help groups (SHG). Be empowered to effectively advocate for and claim their rights. In close collaboration with zonal and regional government authorities, health, education, and livelihood services will become inclusive and disability specific services established. The Bureau of Labour and Social Affairs (BOLSA) and OPDs are collaborative partners of the project. CBM has been providing technical support, amongst others. Bridge the Gap is a pioneer CBID concept for CBM Ethiopia and thereby be a center of excellence for the disability sector in Ethiopia, and broader within CBM. This experience will be used to raise awareness on disability-inclusive development and to disseminate the CBID concept. The Consultant will be expected to: Conduct necessary pre-workshop preparations: schedule. Case studies, handouts, etc., required for the participatory and practical workshop Facilitate a four-day workshop on CBIDDID for, CBM Ethiopia staff, selected CBM partners ,disability, and selected mainstream development stakeholders in Ethiopia. The training should be action-oriented to ensure that planned activities are carried out. The training should be evaluated to determine the impact and take necessary corrective measures Assist participants to exercise how to develop a realistic action plan in order to implement the lessons learned after the training. Provide resource materials to be used by the participants beyond the training. Report - prepare a workshop report highlighting the key outcomes at each stage of the workshop including suggestions for appropriate future options and recommendations. Venue and date: The CBID and DID training will be organized by CBM Ethiopia in collaboration with the Consultant. The training will take place in Addis Ababa. The exact venue and date will be confirmed in due course through the training should take place in the first week of July 2021. Deliverables/outputs: Training Programme Resource materials including a reference, manual/framework, and checklist Report of the training with outcomes and recommendations Desired qualification and competences: Minimum of master's degree in Sociology/Psychology/Social Work/Public Health/related fields: Renewed Business license and Tin number required, Disability-related programme specially will be considered an asset Considerable experience in conducting community-based development related trainings knowledge, and experience on disability Inclusion, and have intense experience and reputation conducting similar Trainings and workshops; Renewed business license and in number required Familiarity with WHO CBR Guidelines, agenda 2030 on sustainable development goals and its application at the community levels Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong facilitation and analytical skills and the ability to prepare well-written reports in a timely manner and available for the period indicated
