  • Expression of Interest are invited for Competitiveness and Job Creation (CJC) Project Coordinator The Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia-Industrial Parks Development Corporation has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Ethiopia Competitiveness and Job Creation Project-CJC (P143302). The Scope of the Consultancy Services: The overall service is to contribute to the objectives and goals of the Ethiopia Competitiveness and Job Creation Project. Therefore, tasks that IPDC-CIC needs to perform on regular and programmed basis to lead the Competitiveness and Job Creation (CJC) Project are as follows. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, executing and monitoring the activities of the Competitiveness and Job Creation Project, and will also be responsible for the prudent management and reporting of the use of financial and other resources in compliance with the Financing agreement for the Project, requirements of project document and the policies of the Government of Ethiopia and the World Bank. Major Duties and Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator The Project Coordinator will have the following major duties and responsibilities, Responsible for plan, execution, coordination and day-to-day management of the overall CJC project's planned activities and delivering of expected results on time and in quality; Ensure the effective and efficient use of project resources for their intended purposes and in line with the Financing Agreement between the Government of Ethiopia and the World Bank; Liaise with the Industrial Parks Development Corporation and the World Bank on project related activities; Liaise with and support EIC on the implementation of project interventions under EIC's responsibility; Oversee the performance of the Procurement team, the financial management and accounting of the project and the performance of the financial management, the implementation of the Monitoring & Evaluation Framework as designed in the Project Operations Manual, implementation of social and environmental safeguard measures and ensure full compliance with the WB safeguard policies as articulated in the Financing Agreement, Work as counterpart of the Task Team Leader of the World Bank in connection with the proper implementation of the project and Any other assignment related to the project and assigned by the CEO The detailed further information of each task is described in the TOR. The Industrial Parks Development Corporation now invites qualified eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested Individual Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services (CV, Relevant Testimonies, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.). Qualification and Experience Required:- Post-graduate degree in Management Economics, or equivalent in a related field; 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the management of similar projects - experience in the management of World Bank funded projects is preferable; Demonstrated experience working with teams and in managing projects and project teams; Experience working with a WB funded project is preferable. Strong computer, analytical and organizational skills, Excellent Written & Spoken English; Proven initiative & ability to work independently, Strong issue identification, problem-solving skills and analytical capacity; and Proactive communication and ability to know when to ask for help The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, flexibly and responsively with other stakeholders, should drive work plans to completion and meet milestones with little or no daily supervision, and be able to multitask and be effective under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
