- Tenders are invited for Consultancy - Pulping Machine Maintenance & Training Expert Overall objective of the Assignment The objective of the consultancy is to support wet-mill clients in maintaining their pulping machines and providing training to wet mill staff so that they gain knowledge and are able to sustain themselves long term. Specific tasks for the assignment The consultant selected to provide service will be required to do the following: Conduct machine status survey, and provide bill of quantity for the spare parts needed. Maintain up to 20 pulping machines in the south (SNNPR region) and develop a log sheet for maintenance highlighting the current condition of the machine, parts replaced, service timeline etc. The number of clients will depend on client location and other factors including the level of support and the amount of work required at the wet mill sites. Provide practical and theoretical training to clients on basic pulper machine maintenance and introduction to eco-pulpers Output /Deliverables Training provided to up to 20 wet-mill staff on basic maintenance (for both regular and eco pulpers) Preparation of bill of quantities for the spare parts needed to maintain machine Operational pulpers with a maintenance log sheet and checklist Duration, Location, and other arrangements The assignment is expected to take up to 60 working days/year (between October 2022 -January 2023) from the date of signing the contract. TechnoServe will provide logistical support including transporting the consultant and their materials to the washing stations and back to TechnoServe-s field office in Dilla. All allowance costs will be fully covered by the consultant. The consultant will be required to visit TechnoServe-s wetmill clients within the Gedeo Zone, SNNPR region to execute the work.
