- Tenders are invited for Consultancy Service for Conducting a Feasibility Baseline Study and Preparation of Registration Documentation of the Forested Areas in Anywa Zone as Unesco Biosphere Reserve Accordingly, as part of the additional fund for its “Growth for the Future (G4F) Program II”, financed by Sida, MELCA-Ethiopia recently embarked in the feasibility study for the registration of forested areas in Anywa Zone as UNESCO biosphere reserve. MELCA-Ethiopia, therefore wishes to invite competent firm to participate in the said task bid process. Objective of the assignment The objective of this consultancy is to conduct a feasibility study for the registration of forested areas in Anywa Zone as UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The key tasks include baseline study (Socio-Economic, Fauna and Flora diversity, bio cultural diversity, and related conventional and traditional Environmental Governance Systems), demarcation and preparation of zonation map taking into account 3 zones and 3 functions into account, conducting a series of consultations, production of nomination document, drafting core areas regulation based on UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve Program standard guideline and criteria as well as national guideline for designation and evaluation of Biosphere Reserve. Applicants are required to meet the following: Be legally registered and have a renewed license for the current fiscal year, If a freelance consultant have a successful track record of handling similar tasks and professional expertise in the area of the subject, Capable of commanding sufficient number of competent experts in the fields of the assignment, Availing of competent female expert has advantage in the selection process. Duration of the Assignment: The consultant needs to prepare and submit schedule for undertaking the task within 60 calendar days starting from signing of the agreement. Location of the Assignment: Anywa Zone, Gambella-s People Regional State How to Apply: Interested applicants are invited to collect the ToR from MELCA-Ethiopia-s Head Office in 5 working days, from Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00 PM and to submit the proposals within 10 calendar days of the announcement of this call. The proposals should clearly marked technical and financial proposal and submit separately in person with WAX SEALED ENVELOP with “Original” and “Copy” of the quote to MELCA Office, before 5:00 P.M.
