- Tenders are invited for Consultancy Service for the Development of a Nile Basin-wide Drought Early Warning System (Nile DEWS) The specific objectives of this consultancy work are: To develop an enhanced drought monitoring, forecasting and early warning operationalized for the Nile basin To validate DEWS outputs against in-situ observation data and impact indicators of relevance Install the Nile DEWS at ENTRO and ensure its compatibility with the NBI Integrated Knowledge Portal To provide packaged information services for drought early warning and engage with users in the production of and/or validation of this information To improve stakeholder awareness of and preparedness for drought risks To build capacity on drought early warning, and use of drought early warning information, for end users (primarily NBI centers and Nile Discourse Forum members)
