- Tenders are invited for Consultancy Service: Enhance the Institutional Capacities of 5 Local CSOs (PDN and 4 Members of the Network Operating in the Project Implementation Regions) Category: Baseline Consultancy Closing Date: 03/04/2022. Pro Development Network (PDN) is a consortium of local civil society organizations (CSOs) based in Addis Ababa, established in 2010 and certified by Ethiopian Federal Government Authority for CSOs with a registration number of 1701. With 55 member CSOs, it is one of the leading networks of civil societies in the country that adds values to its members through creating better access to resources, and establishing strategic alliance with key stakeholders. PDN exists to promote partnership among local CSOs through development of network membership, and collaboration with others of its kind. It also enhances the institutional capacity of its member organizations and, hence, empowers to play valuable role in the social, economic and cultural transformation of the country at large and in their respective operation areas, in particular. PDN is currently implementing a project titled Promoting Citizen-State Engagement for Socio-Economic Inclusion and Protection of Human Rights in Somali and Afar Regions under the auspices of CSSP-2 of British Council - Ethiopia to promote effective Citizen-State Engagement (CSE) at local level. The project is initiated following the embarking of Ethiopian federal government in comprehensive policy reforms, particularly in civil society sector, and it is being implemented in Somali and Afar National Regional States. One among other major activities of the project is to review and revise the policies (bylaws) and policy instruments (strategic plan, regulations, guidelines and manuals) of selected CSOs. The overall purpose of the professional service required herein is to enhance the institutional capacities of 5 local CSOs (PDN and 4 members of the network operating in the project implementation regions) so that they will have organizational policies and operational systems compatible with the prevailing working environments (government policies & socio-political contexts) they are in. Therefore, interested and legally eligible consultancy firms are invited to bid for the work by collecting the terms of reference (ToR) for non-refundable Birr 100.00 at the contact address given bellow.
