Tenders are invited for Consultancy Service to Provide Entrepreneurship Training for Destitute Orphan. Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international relief and development agency that was established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief (IR) began a relief work in Ethiopia in 2000 in response to the severe drought that plagued great parts of the Somali region. Four years after first started working in the country, IR officially opened office in the country in 2004. Since 2004, Islamic Relief (IR) has been operational in Ethiopia delivering humanitarian assistance and implementing development interventions. Working with the local communities and government, IR managed to reach millions of vulnerable communities in remote pastoralist areas and the very urban poor. In view of this, IRE has received fund to support the most vulnerable and destitute orphan families in their effort to create new opportunities as well as recover and restore their previous livelihoods resources in Addis Ababa. Mainly it aims to train destitute orphan families on identification of viable business opportunities, planning, and startup in order to sustainably generate better and diversified income so that they will be able to gradually emerge out of poverty and attain economic growth at household level.
