- Tenders are invited for Consulting Firms for Establishing Green Logistics The key objectives of the assignment will be to: Identifying the pollution areas and contributors in the trade logistics chain Identifying key stakeholders with respect to the issue of green trade logistics Measuring the carbon footprint of trade logistics operations i.e. the production-supply-distribution network Drawing a strategy for reducing air, soil, water, and noise pollution arising from trade logistics operations Develop an action plan for implementing a sustainable and environment-friendly trade logistics Establishing strong control and monitoring system to create environmentally friendly environment in the trade logistics chain Identify incentives for the production and utilization of green technology and energy in trade logistics Scope of the Service: The scope of this consultancy assignment covers all the geographical and thematic coverage of the project and is limited to all logistics activities of primarily international and domestic trade operations from production up to distribution to final consumers. The project components and key issues to be considered include but are not limited to, the following. A. Logistics sector overview Review the existing business processes, workflows of the trade logistics service, import and export cargo flows, the service providers, and other relevant stakeholders. Identify appropriate logistics flows, performances and required new facilities to be set at ports, borders, logistics centers, and urban and suburban areas. Gather and map the interests and involvement of stakeholders such as regulatory authorities, operators, and others with respect to environment-friendly trade logistics. Review national & international laws and regulations, initiatives/ measures/ incentives taken by the government on the environment, and eco-friendly trade logistics operations.
