- Expression of Interest are invited for Build a B+G+12 Apartment Building for its Expatriate Staff and Their Families in its Compound Located in Addis Ababa, Arada Sub-City, Woreda 07. The School Established in 1949, Sandford International School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculums to Ethiopian and the International Community chil The school has two divisions - Primary School, from Nursery to Year 6 and Secondary School from Year 7 to Year 13. While International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations are administered at Year 13, IGCSE is administered in Year 11. Ethiopian National Examination also is administered at Year 8. The Task The school would like to build a B+G+12 apartment building for its expatriate staff and their families in its compound located in Addis Ababa, Arada Sub-city, Woreda 07. The plot is a little over 850 M2 and faces street from two sides. While the basement floor will be used for car parking and other facilities related to engineering and maintenance, the ground floor should have a gymnasium, recreational places and possibly shops. The project is expected to be good quality, using the latest available technology in the industry. It is also expected to have energy saving and environment friendly concepts. The expected completion time of the project is less than twelve months. The building shall have a minimum of 50-55 apartments with 20% 3 bedrooms and office, 40% 3 bedrooms and 40% 2 bedrooms. This combination might be changed in due course. To this effect the school is inviting qualified Grade 1 and 2 Contractors to express their interests for a design and build competition.
