  • Description :
  • Tenders are invited for Development of a Resource Mobilisation Strategy. In 2023, ACPF will mark 20 years since its establishment in September 2003. The organisation has made significant contributions to knowledge on children in Africa through extensive research on child rights and wellbeing. ACPF has promoted dialogue on challenges facing the African child, spoke out in many forums at global, pan-African and national levels, and contributed to legal and policy reforms and their effective implementation. Strategic collaboration with the African Union and other pan-African human rights institutions, African governments, multilateral organisations and civil society has been key to delivery of its strategic goals. ACPF has now developed a new Strategic Plan 2022-2026. The ambitions spelt out in this plan can only be realised by ACPF-s deliberate, concerted and sustained efforts to mobilise the necessary resources to drive the execution of the strategy. The impact of COVID-19 and the ensuing global financial crisis has caused a shift in scope and priority of development funding to Africa. In spite of this, the challenges faced by African children demand that ACPF delivers on its strategy fully. Thus the need for ACPF to renew and strengthen its resource mobilisation efforts at this time is critical. In the past five years, ACPF-s financial status has been stable. Its annual income has slowly but steadily increased. It remains going concern and is in a less vulnerable financial situation. However, the dependency on a very few income sources is a risk that the organisation needs to mitigate immediately. ACPF now seeks to engage a Resource Mobilisation Expert for the development of a Resource Mobilisation Strategy that will align with its new Strategic plan over the period 2022-2026.
