- Expression of Interest are invited for Feasibility Study of Jigjiga Quarantine Center for Private Sector Participation The World Bank Group (WBG) is preparing a new regional project called Horn of Africa (HoA) - De-Risking, Inclusion and Value Enhancement of Pastoral Economies (DRIVE). The project will enhance de-risking, financial inclusion, and value addition to pastoral economies in the HoA. Ethiopia plays a greater role in the HoA region and is a major participant in the DRIVE project. The project would address multifaceted value chain issues in the pastoral areas by upgrading the trade and quality infrastructure alongside the livestock trade routes. It also aims to identify activities based on their potential to attract private investment and support the emergence of new sustainable business models that benefit pastoralists. Accordingly, the project has mobilized resources through a multi-doner trust fund that support MoA and MoTI to conduct feasibility study of the Jigjiga quarantine center including private sector participation on the operation and management of the facility. The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
