- Expression of Interest are invited for Identify Projects that Require Technical and Financial Assistance to Achieve Bankability. Bids opening date: No Specific Opening Date and Time Based in Seoul, Republic of Korea, Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty based international, inter-governmental organization that supports developing country governments transition to a model of economic growth that is environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive. GGGI supports 39 member countries across the globe to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to the Paris Agreement (PA). GGGI has a unique in-country presence and prominent role as a neutral, trusted advisor and strategic development partner embedded in Member and partner governments. These advisors are directly engaged with national governments in setting the strategic direction for national program development guided by a Country Planning Framework with the Government. GGGI's operating model maximizes the potential to translate green growth strategies and policies (especially economic policies) into green investment plans, mobilizing green finance commitments needed to bolster support for low-carbon and climate resilient economic development and strong institutional capacity development. OBJECTIVE OF THE CALL Aiming at supporting implementation of sustainable projects in the agriculture forestry and other land use (AFOLU) sector that contribute to Ethiopia's NDC commitments and align with social and environmental targets of the country. GGGI with the support of United States Department of State (US DOS) is seeking to identify projects that require technical and financial assistance to achieve bankability At this stage GGGI is focusing on Timber production & processing, Coffee agroforestry & processing, Bamboo production & processing and Sustainable production of Honey/beeswax) in Ethiopia.
