- Tenders are invited for Individual Consultancy Service of Senior Traffic Engineer The Senior Traffic Engineer will undertake, but not be limited to the following main duties and responsibilities: Reviewing design documents and advising on proposals in respect of transport systems engineering in reference to relevant technical standards and documents, available data, and collected field data; Reviewing methodologies proposed by Consultants, Contractors, or Suppliers; Reviewing design drawings and reports; Preparing Quality Assurance Plans and overseeing quality control; Preparing reports as required; Developing user requirements including terms of references and technical specifications as required, and ensuring that these are put through the formal approval process and meet all stakeholder requirements; Supervising data collection for traffic engineering analysis, parking study, accident data, and other related activities; Conducting assessments, performance, and qualitative evaluations, and the designs of the measures to improve traffic flow and safety; Developing transport concepts including transport planning concepts, and carrying out network and system assessments; Conducting intersection capacity analysis, and traffic analysis and projections; Designing signal setting strategies for isolated intersections and analyzing signal settings for coordinated intersections; and Perform other duties as the supervisor and/or the Client may from time to time deem necessary. The Senior Traffic Engineer shall have the following qualifications and experience; M.Sc. Degree in Transport Planning or Transportation Engineering or related fields. Internationally recognized professional qualifications shall be an advantage; Fifteen (15) years of professional experience in transport projects for metropolitan cities having various scales of complexities; Specific experience as a Traffic Engineer in five (5) similar projects for metropolitan cities having various scales of complexities; and Having experience in developed countries is an advantage.
