- Request for proposals are invited for Procure Consultant Services to Study Ethiopia's Computing Services Industry and the Digitization Opportunities in the Agriculture Value-Chain in Ethiopia Production Service. The study envisages to address the following areas: Organizations in the technology, government, NGO and service industry that are currently leveraging cloud computing resources by subscribing to services abroad The nature and size of the current market and the related costs that these establishments are paying, as well as the terms and means of payment The existence of other establishments that are interested in hosting their services in cloud for the first time The factors the above groups are considering while subscribing for such service (availability, reliability, redundancy etc.) Factors that would influence these establishments to consider switching to a local service provider, including organizational SLAs and standards The existence of unmet demand size for the target market Analysis of potential cloud service providers or players with plans to enter the market in Ethiopia The estimated market growth rate over the next five years Changes in the regulatory environment that may affect investments in the sector. This assessment will result in a report to: Demonstrate the business case for digitizing the agriculture sector in the value chain Provide insights on market demand for specific financial and digital products and services in the agricultural sector Determine the main barriers to the adoption of digital solutions and payments, and how digital financial services can address these barriers Identify any regulatory/legislative challenges that exist and that may deter investments in any value chain particularly Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Draw on local and international experience to identify determinants of successful digitization of market access and payments and propose the way forward to develop a digital Agriculture platform that meet the needs of SHFs in Ethiopia Identify and list key stakeholders that should be engaged to successfully role a digital platform in the agriculture sector of Ethiopia
