- RE-BID - REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTERESTThe United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) invites qualified and experienced firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of food safety laboratory testing services for its catering facilities, cafeterias, and restaurants in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.UNECA seeks to engage a competent and accredited laboratory to carry out microbiological and chemical analysis of food samples, as well as environmental hygiene testing, on both a routine (monthly) and ad hoc basis. The selected service provider will be responsible for sample collection, transportation, laboratory analysis, reporting, and providing professional recommendations to improve food safety practices.The scope of services includes testing for foodborne pathogens (such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria), chemical contaminants, food additives, water quality, and surface hygiene, in accordance with internationally recognized standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 and relevant WHO/FAO guidelines.Interested firms must be legally registered and licensed to provide laboratory services, hold valid accreditation, and demonstrate relevant experience in food safety testing.
