- Tenders are invited for Supply of Beeswax to International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (Icipe-Ethiopia) supply of beeswax icipe desirous to purchase 1,271 Quintals of wax from a successful bidder. Bidders must indicate that the offered price includes 15% VAT. Validity date of the bid-offer should be 90 days. The beeswax to be purchased shall be inspected by Ethiopian Conformity AssessmentEnterprise and must pass a quality test assessment. The cost associated with testing will be covered by icipe. The bid winner must avail of the beeswax for testing within 15 days from the date of receiving the award letter. Warehouse/s containing the beeswax on the bid will be jointly sealed until the test results are submitted to icipe by the Conformity Assessment Enterprise. icipe has the right to cancel the bid if the item is not available within the stipulated period and the bid security (bid bond) will not be returned to the winner. Payment shall be made upon delivery. Payment is due and payable after delivery of the goods to the icipe office and acceptance of the Goods by icipe icipe has the right to award part of the beeswax to different suppliers. Bidders shall present a copy of their renewed trade license, registration certificate, Tax Identification & VAT Registration Certificates, and other necessary documents. All tenders must be submitted to the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology along with bid security (bid bond) in acceptable forms (CPO or Bank guarantee) specified amounting 2% of the bid offer, on a separate envelope. The bid security shall be valid for 90 consecutive days. Tender documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope into a bid box prepared for this purpose and should be clearly marked: REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ) FOR THE SUPPLY OF BEESWAX before 5 p.m. on 18th October 2022 to International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology Country Office at ILRI Campus, Gurd Shola, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
